Typical city happenings
I get home today and the fire engines are driving past me, one of them honking the horn for me, and parking in the next block, all for about 10 minutes, tops. Someone panicked, probably over nothing, and called 'em up. Last night, on the way to class, I almost killed some idiot getting out of his car. He never looked, just opened the door and climbed out right when 6 cars were trying to get by him. Almost hit another couple of people on the way home, too. Everybody must think they're invincible these days...took a walk yesterday and came across a back-yard auction at this little house by Baer Park...every little thing in the house was going...glasses, clothes, afghans, tools, and anything else in the place was up for grabs. I could barely follow the auctioneer - it must be some special training to try to sound like the Micro-Machines guy...
