Un-freakin'-believable!

I almost fell out of my chair today when I was reading a update e-mail from Ticketmaster...Dream Theater is coming to Reading! READING!! 8 years of fighting sleep on the drive home from a show, and they finally decide to play somewhere that's within walking distance of my house! And to think, before this little miracle happened, I was thinking of skipping this tour for lack of funds! Guess I'd better make some spare change available. Unfortunately there's no chance for a meet-and-greet at this show, not unless something happens between then and now, but maybe I'll have to get a job at the Sovereign Center in the next two months...

I'm imagining you waiting in line on the morning tickets go on sale...

Well, as I had to work today, I couldn't get online right at 10 am this morning to get the first shot at tickets. The floor's all general-admission-standing-room anyway, and my friend Randy, my brother-in-law Mark, and I do not want to stand for 9 hours. Yes, nine hours...or more, who knows...there's five bands on the main stage, and 4 other bands on a second stage (where they're going to put this second stage is going to be interesting to ponder). All for about $45 all told, including fees and all of that bull. However, I did get my tickets in the back and a little off the floor, which at this particular venue is just fine...we've got a great view of the stage and we'll have seats. I must be getting older...

4:00 in the afternoon...my ears may be useless for a while after the whole thing is said and done, but I guess I wouldn't be too embarassed to wear earplugs here or there. Nevertheless, my anticipation builds...
