First night

So, I'm sitting in my Geography class, waiting for the prof to show up. The fifteen other people all arrive, and then the prof, who finds out that he forgot something and has to go back to his office to retrieve it. So he doesn't actually start talking to us about the class until about 30 minutes in, and I'm thinking, oh, this is a great way to start. I think the work will be easy for me, if I can manage to sit through all of his sidetrack discussions on Chinese news stations and Russian oil pipelines.

Then I go to my philosophy class. The reverend who is teaching the course seems like a natural teacher and a nice woman to boot, which is good, because I think some of these philosophical discussions might be over my head. It all seems like a lot of words and talking to question oneself, when I prefer more down-to-earth discussions. My two term papers ought to be tons of fun! I think from now on I will look to avoid 8 o'clock night classes...I was listening and comprehending, but my eyes wouldn't stay open until I volunteered to read some passage full of nothing but questions? Find a damn answer and get on with your life! Sheesh!

Goodbye Stinking Springs!

It's about freakin' time, I say. Today I found out that I will be transferred back to the store I've been pushing to get back to work. I really didn't think Gary would pull through for me any time in the next year, but he surprised me. I am very happy to go back, back in my comfortable environment. Better yet, I'm now closer to both home and school, so the timing couldn't have been better. All steps in the right direction!

The second time around...

Well, I registered for my first classes in over 12 years today. Now that I'm officially a student, I've got a wave of thoughts passing through my head. How I'm going to do, how will I manage my time, what kind of aid can I get, how hard is this really going to be...I guess I'll find out! I'll be taking geography and philosophy this term (hey Alice...I've got my philosophy), and chemistry in the summer (eat your heart out, Mr. Boyer!). I have to wait until Monday to start, but I wish I could start tomorrow! Off I go!

Well, lookee, ah say, lookee here!

Well, there's a first time for everything, and this is one of those times. I have joined the blogging ranks around the world. Not much to say as an introduction, but I guess I'll have more to report or dismantle later. Happy hauntings!
